Pioneer Strengthens Environmental Leadership Team - "Pioneer would like to welcome Noel St. Jean to our team of environmental professionals. Noel joins Pioneer in our Edmonton office as our Manager of Environmental Planning and Oilsands. Noel has spent 20 + years with the Alberta government with both Alberta Environment (AENV) and Alberta Sustainable Resources Development (ASRD) most recently with ASRD in Fort McMurray and Edmonton. Noel was the Section Head for the Petroleum Land Use and Reclamation Section at ASRD, before deciding to join Pioneer. Noel will provide leadership and regulatory experience to an already strong group of professionals in our Environmental Planning and Oilsands Divisions. Noel is experienced with the regulatory approval process both for new and end of life (reclamation & abandonment) projects. Noel has been instrumental at ASRD with policy change and the development of integrated resource plans and integrated land management plans for a variety of areas. Noel has a great handle not only on where the industry is today but where it is headed in the future. Noel’s experience includes Environmental Field Reports (EFR), Area Operating Agreements (AOA), Oilsands Exploration (OSE), Caribou Protection Plans (CPP), forestry programs, reclamation services and much more. Pioneer is pleased to announce that Pinnacle Safety Solutions Ltd. has merged with Pioneer Professional Services Group Ltd. effective August 1, 2009, and will operate as Pioneer Safety, a division of Pioneer Professional Services Group Ltd. Pioneer Safety will offer Health & Safety Program Development and Implementation services, Certificate of Recognition Auditing (COR/SECOR) services, Field and Facility Inspection services, Emergency Response Planning services, Due Diligence/Compliance Management services and Training services.
"This merger provides an expansion of Pioneer’s services, as well as adding strong leadership in Mr. Dean Berger. Pioneer Safety will continue operating out of their existing Sylvan Lake office as well as Pioneer’s existing offices in Edmonton and Calgary. Over time there may be expansion of these safety services to our other Pioneer offices."

Vip brings with him over 15 years of experience as a manager of environmental, health & safety professionals, and 19 years of experience as an upstream and midstream Oil & Gas practitioner in Alberta."
