The Emergency Management Approach that Pioneer provides to the Oil Gas, Municipal and Public Sectors, is a comprehensive approach to emergency response planning integrating all elements of our client's business operations into an effective and valuable response plan. - Mitigation

COR / SECOR Auditing
Pioneer works with clients to design their Health & Safety Programs to meet the application and training needs of any size of employer. Our professionals have experience in BC, AB, SK and MB.
Clients registered in the Alberta WCB financial incentive program Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR) are eligible to receive up to a 20% reduction in their WCB premiums for implementing successful health, safety and disability programs and for achieving a COR.
Certificate of Recognition (COR) is a certifying process awarded to companies for implementing health and safety management systems found to meet the standards of the Alberta Government's Auditing Program directed through the Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Workplace Partnerships (AHRE). We have experience in all areas of western Canada, with all audit governing bodies ensuring our clients are meeting all applicable Health & Safety legislative requirements.
The Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) program provides an option for employers with ten or fewer (including contract employees) workers to develop a health and safety management system; achieve a Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR).
There are two types of Health & Safety Certificate of Recognition programs available:
- Regular Certificate of Recognition (COR) applies to companies of 11 people or more (including contract employees) that achieve at least 80% on a safety audit.
- Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) applies to companies of 10 people or fewer (including contract employees) that complete the required training and program documentation, as well as providing correct answers in the self-audit portion of the Basic Safety Program manual.
Pioneer Safety is certified to perform all audits using a variety of instruments. A safety audit, developed by Pioneer, can be used for companies who are operating beyond the Partnerships Basic Safety Program.
