Auditing/ Consulting Services
Pioneer’s Transportation professionals complete evaluations on carriers by conducting an internal National Safety Code (NSC) / Regulatory audit. This audit is done by using the Assessment of Regulatory Compliance (ARC) government audit program.
Our transportation professionals are able to assist clients/carriers in complying with all of the legislative requirements by:
- Developing a written NSC Safety / Maintenance program customized to meet the carrier’s needs;
- Ensure the Maintenance program inspection intervals are being met;
- Review the policies/procedures to ensure all employees and the carrier are complying with the Safety program;
- Checking the carrier’s commercial insurance requirements for Cargo, Public Liability and Public Damage limits (Federal/Provincial);
- Driver’s Daily Hours of Service compliance (Federal/Provincial) / log book auditing;
- Auditing Driver/Vehicle files meet the standard;
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) – system in place to ensure all NSC vehicles are inspected when required;
- Trip inspections meet the new legislative requirements (Federal/Provincial);
- File retention and location to meet the requirements (Federal and Provincial);
- Carrier Profile review and recommendations;
- Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) (equivalent) Level 1 inspections on the carrier’s NSC fleet;
- Review CVSA inspection documents;
- Assist the carrier in developing an acceptable Journey Management Program/Policies;
- Review carrier’s Dangerous Goods’ paper work/practices
